Larry    Coney Island native, Lawrence Lipnik has performed with many acclaimed chamber and early music ensembles including the Waverly Consort and Anonymous 4, and is a founding member of the vocal Ensemble Lionheart and the viol consort Parthenia. He is a frequent musical collaborator with artist William Wegman and has worked with composers Kim Sherman and Scott Killian on music for theater, film, and dance companies including Murray Louis, Shapiro and Smith, and Cherylyn Lavagnino. He has recently prepared an authoritative edition of Francesco Cavalli’s opera La Calisto, which was commissioned by the Juilliard School and performed by the San Francisco Opera. In addition to performing, his busy teaching schedule spans national and international music courses from the Benslow Music Trust in the UK and Mount Gravatt in Brisbane Australia to Wesleyan University and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. He has recorded for numerous labels including EMI, Angel, Nimbus, Virgin, Sony, Koch International, and has served as music consultant for the Bill Cosby Show.
